Inspection chambers with different connection openings
The openings are side holes intended for the passage of pipes, conduits or ducts. The required number and position will depend on the number of inlets, outlets and branches planned in the project.

The selection must be made according to the ducts, the internal space required and the installation conditions.
- Internal dimensions: they must allow the connections to be housed and work to be carried out during maintenance.
- External dimensions: check the space available for excavation and backfilling.
- Number of openings: it must match the required inlets, outlets and branches.
- With bottom or without bottom: select the option planned in the project.
- Depth: assess the duct level and the final height of the access cover.
- Cover and frame: confirm that the dimensions are compatible with the upper opening.
- Installation area: check the loads and conditions expected on the cover.
Installation and access for maintenance
The inspection chamber must be placed on a properly prepared and levelled base, following the project specifications and taking into account the ground, ducts and expected loads.
Connections must remain organised and accessible to allow future inspections. The upper cover must fit the opening and be suitable for the area where it will be installed.
In pedestrian areas, car parks or areas with traffic, a cover or access cover with the load class corresponding to the intended use must be selected.
